The Dow Company was selected to construct a memorial at Logan Airport to honor those who lost their lives in the atrocities of September 11, 2001. Dow is honored to have been chosen to participate in such a meaningful project.
The year-long project consisted of:
- Site grading
- Installation of new drainage
- Installation of lighting
- Pouring of the structural foundation for the memorial tower
- Construction of large stone walls with built-in seating
- Pouring of exposed aggregate sidewalks leading to the monument
- Installation of site irrigation
- Laying of sod and planting of 100 trees across the site
A formal dedication ceremony was held on September 11, 2009
